The Temple Hill Symphony Orchestra is seeking musicians to play with the orchestra.  At this time we are looking particularly for strings, especially cellos and contrabass, brass and percussionists. 

The Orchestra performs the following concerts annually:

*      Spring Concert at Temple Hill

*      Lamb of God at Temple Hill, Mission Santa Clara, St. Mary’s Cathedral San Francisco (Easter)

*      Fall Concert at Temple Hill

*      Magic program the Saturday after Thanksgiving

*      Messiah and/or Nutcracker in December

To audition, please come play with us. If you can handle the music we, ask that you come to all seven or eight rehearsals (two excused) and practices when needed.

The Temple Hill Symphony Orchestra is comprised of volunteer musicians who are dedicated to providing great classical music to the public. 

The mission of the Temple Hill Symphony Orchestra is to foster excellence and innovation in the performance and presentation of great music; to enrich the lives of residents of the greater Oakland area; to educate current and future audiences; to provide opportunity for musicians to perform classics from the symphonic repertoire; and to cultivate a love of music by providing free concerts that educate, entertain, and inspire individuals and families in our community.

All of our concerts are free. We appreciate donations, but no tickets are required.

The Temple Hill Symphony Orchestra performs on the grounds of the Oakland Mormon Temple, 4780 Lincoln Avenue, Oakland, CA 94602, known as Temple Hill.
